South Central Transit Authority (SCTA) is seeking an Asst. Director of Shared Ride for its Lancaster operations of Red Rose Access.  This position will work closely with the Director of Shared Ride, and other appropriate department heads to help manage the needs of the Share Ride department.

Responsibilities include managing, planning, and supervising the daily activities of the call center staff; managing the subcontractors of the shared ride services; and ensuring accurate reporting for federal coordinating with state and local human services agencies.

The position requires proven skills in management; demonstrated ability to supervise the work of others; demonstrate ability to establish and maintain good employee and public relations; and proficient verbal and written communication skills.

Qualified candidates must possess a HS Diploma and a minimum five years of work experience in a supervisory role.

Part-Time Dispatcher – Posted February 1, 2017

South Central Transit Authority (SCTA) is seeking a part-time dispatcher for its Reading office (Berks Area Regional Transportation Authority – BARTA).  SCTA is seeking a reliable part-time dispatcher to provide assistance and supervision to bus drivers and customers in support of BARTA’s daily transit operations. Approx. 15-20 hours a week; Mon 11am-7pm; Sat 11am-5pm and alt. Sun 9:15am-7:15pm.  Must demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills and also have a working knowledge of Berks County.  Computer skills and two-way radio communications experience a plus.
