South Central Transit Authority is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor/Dispatcher for its Reading location, Berks Area Regional Transportation Authority (BARTA).  Position requires 3-5 yrs exp. in a supervisory role, union shop exp. helpful but not required, positive attitude and a strong work ethic required.  Exp. with Microsoft Office, tracking productivity, and customer service is also required.

Typical duties include on-road supervision of Transit Operators; Operator performance reviews; assists with customer service; and writes and compiles reports related to department operations: position hours are Mon – Fri 7am to 4pm but may vary as this position serves as backup for fixed-route dispatchers, must be flexible with nights and weekends as needed.

Applicant should possess organizational, written and verbal communication skills.  CDL with P endorsement and air brake restriction lifted required within 9 mos. of hire (training provided). SCTA offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
