TRANSIT DISPATCHER – Posted September 3, 2020

South Central Transit Authority (SCTA) is seeking a full-time dispatcher to fill an opening for 1st shift in its Lancaster office (Red Rose Transit Authority).  SCTA is seeking a reliable full-time dispatcher to provide daily dispatching and schedule of its fleet of passenger vehicles and bus drivers in support of RRTA’s daily transit operations. The candidate should possess the following: 1- Ability to assign and monitor driver assignments; 2- Excellent customer service skills; 3- Effective verbal and written communication skills; 4- Have knowledge of the Lancaster County area; 5- Problem solving and strong attention to detail; 6- Computer skills a must and two-way radio communications experience a plus; 7- Ability to multi-task; 8- Bilingual (Spanish and English) is helpful.  Hours for the position are Monday – Friday 3:45am –11:15am.  Exp. in a union environment is also helpful.
