Places2040 is Lancaster County’s new comprehensive plan!  The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners adopted the plan on October 24, 2018.  The plan includes a lot of discussion about transportation and the future of transportation in Lancaster County.  To review the plan and the details visit the Lancaster County Planning Commission’s website to access Places2040.

Also, SCTA will be participating in the upcoming Places2040 Summit: Thinking Beyond Boundaries being held on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at the Ware Center, 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster.  The Places2040 Plan envisions a future that emphasizes preserving the unique assets of Lancaster County while allowing for smart growth for the future. With its Five Main Themes, Beyond My Backyard; Beyond The Narrative; Beyond The Bubble; Beyond Borders; Beyond The Plan, the Summit seeks to bring together an eclectic mix of decision makers, community leaders and visionaries from the business, government and non-profit sectors.
