PART-TIME DISPATCHER

South Central Transit Authority (SCTA) is seeking a part-time dispatcher for its Reading office (Berks Area Regional Transportation Authority – BARTA).  SCTA is seeking a reliable part-time dispatcher to provide assistance and supervision to bus drivers and customers in support of BARTA’s daily transit operations. Approx. 15-20 hours a week (Sat. 4:15pm – 12:15am, Every Other Sun. 9am – 7pm; and Mon. 10am – 4:30pm).

Must demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills and also have a working knowledge of Berks County.  Computer skills and two-way radio communications experience a plus.  Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

South Central Transit Authority is seeking a caring, team-oriented individual who is also motivated and self-starting for the current opening of Full-Time Customer Service Representative.  This position is for the Shared Ride Division (Red Rose Access service) located in Lancaster, PA.

If you enjoy talking to people and want to go home every day knowing you made a difference in someone’s life, then this is the position for you.

SCTA is seeking a qualified candidate that is able to deal effectively with the public both in person and on the telephone in a fast-paced environment.  The position requires excellent computer, telephone, and clerical skills. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are preferred, but not required.

MARKETING COORDINATOR

South Central Transit Authority (SCTA) is seeking an individual who will work closely with the Director of Marketing who is responsible for all the marketing functions for BARTA, RRTA and SCTA. The Marketing Coordinator will assist the Director of Marketing in fulfilling all the activities approved by the SCTA Board in the Annual Marketing Plan for promoting the BARTA and RRTA services to the public. This position will provide project management, administrative and communications support for all the marketing efforts. This position is based out of the Reading office, but will be required to work out of the Lancaster office frequently.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Assist with updating and posting content on websites
  2. Assist with monitoring and posting content on social media
  3. Assist with posting content on digital monitors (external and internal)
  4. Assist with staffing outreach events when needed and any other special events.
  5. Assist with preparing written communications that include event detour announcements, schedule changes, customer procedures, special promotions, press releases, etc.
  6. Help to develop and design external and internal marketing materials such as flyers/posters, maps
  7. Assist with the activities in the Marketing Plan, including the BE NICE Customer Service Program
  8. Assist with any marketing and advertising campaigns as needed
  9. This position assists the Director of Marketing with promotional events that may require working outside the normal 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. weekday work hours and possible weekend events as well
  10. This position works from both the Lancaster and Reading offices and needs the ability and means to travel to both locations. Weekly schedule will vary on which office location will be required to work at depending on the marketing needs
  11. Assist other departments with communication, as needed
  12. Perform other duties as assigned
