CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE – Posted February 28, 2023

South Central Transit Authority (SCTA) is seeking a motivated, self-starting individual for the position of Full-Time Customer Service Representative for its Shared Ride Division located in Reading, PA.  The qualified candidate must be able to deal effectively with the public both in person and on the telephone in an extremely fast-paced environment.  The position requires excellent computer, telephone, and clerical skills. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are preferred. OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR/DISPATCHER – Posted October 28, 2022

South Central Transit Authority is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor/Dispatcher for its Reading location, Berks Area Regional Transportation Authority (BARTA).  Position requires 3-5 yrs exp. in a supervisory role, union shop exp. helpful but not required, positive attitude and a strong work ethic required.  Exp. with Microsoft Office, tracking productivity, and customer service is also required.

Typical duties include on-road supervision of Transit Operators; Operator performance reviews; assists with customer service; and writes and compiles reports related to department operations: this position serves as backup for fixed-route dispatchers as needed. Position hours are 10am-6pm (M-F), with flexibility of nights and weekends.
