FACILITIES MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST

South Central Transit Authority (SCTA) is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Specialist to join our facilities team located in Lancaster and Berks Counties. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility and properties, contributing to the safety, comfort, and productivity of our workplace and safety for the public transportation service.

Essential Job Functions:

• Manage contract work including snow removal, landscaping, cleaning, and HVAC.
• Perform general building maintenance duties including basic plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance in conjunction with all building maintenance and/or cleanliness relate items.
• Maintain responsibility for all facility maintenance including HVAC equipment, plumbing and minor electrical repairs by working with external contracted vendor.
• Purchase supplies, equipment, and materials necessary to complete projects and inventory.
• Move and/or lift items such as ladders, tools, cable, test equipment and other objects weighing up to 100 pounds
• Analyze general cleanliness at the facility.
• Support and supervision for outside contractors providing new electrical and HVAC installations.
• Facilities are across Lancaster and Berks County.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Specialist or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
